i just had my worst night cycle EVER. reallllllyyyyy.

first night was occupied with alllll the new admission changes.

second night was horrible cause i had patients having low bp, not 1 or 2, it was 4!! faint.
'hello dr xxx, bedxx bp is xx mmHg'
'okay, run gela fast'
'we dont have enuff gela alr, and so many low bps, any alternatives?'
'gela sustains the bp longer'

=.= kanasai. i really felt like slapping him. its true, gela sustains longer, but for a pt who's bp is within that range? bolus n/s also can what. all cause he wants to cover his butt till 8am. in the end, bp remained the same. btw, one pint of gela costs $11.

third night was DISGUSTING.

it started off well.. till i had two patients desaturating. 70+ %, 80+ %. suction suction all no use. one 'recovered' with fm50. the other recovered when i removed the O2. really! it went back to 90+%.

then one active case, became drowsy. ? MI, ? encephalopathy, fleeted twice. aft fleet, went over to the previous desat pt, no pulse, no bp, no spo2. and he was supposedly home today. started cpr, bagging, kena scolded bla bla bla, and stopped. flat line. to make things worst, for coroner's case! grrarrrr. photocopying started, reny giving my IVs, sending the drowsy one for urgent CTbrain. ? bleed.

0630hrs, everything started again, unrecordable RR, active mx, resussssssssssss. CPR, bag, intubate, CPR, bag, adrenaline, atropine, but asystoled =( luckily the reg was patient and really nice. super caring too! kept askin if we could 'tahan' or not cause he could see we were super shagged from all that cpr.

sigh. super dramatic. learnt alot from last night. my first ever coroner's case, my first ever resus under my care. can't thank the people who helped, enough.

was an eyeopener ytd. the opp ward had their fair share, one asystoled, another sent to icu. makin ho4,mo4,r2 running around crazily.

but well, am just glad the night's over. meetin hon later aft his driving!

ooo ya! and peanut and jam, (tsk, rem, the hammies hon gave me?), yeap! they're proud parents of 7 lil hammies!
